"Sunday Morning" (2011)

This photograph is part of the "Kimono series" taken in the early days of photography in spring 2011. I used vintage kimonos as an inspiration point for several photo shoots. The particular bright almost shocking peach pink colour of the kimono was due to a hand washing accident. This was shot a Saturday afternoon in May, in a dear friend's Old Holland kitchen on Keizersgracht in Amsterdam, using a vintage 50 mm lens on a digital camera. All details in the image are carefully chosen. The mint green phone was bought on a trip in Bangkok, the peonies came from the market, the newspaper is Chinese (and is a returning prop in other later photos). All styling, art direction and make up are done by me.

Limited edition of 30 excluding 2 artist proofs. Printed on Hahnemuhle fineart paper, signed, numbered and authenticated by the artist. The Myscha Oréo watermark will not appear on the prints.

Prints sold unframed with a white bleed.

Please be aware that colours may vary monitor to monitor. Subtle variations in sharpness, shadow, light, softness and grain are all part of the creative expression of the artist. Actual sizes may vary slightly according to the layout of the photo.

Purchasing a print does not transfer any rights. All artwork remains copyright of Myscha Oréo and may not be reproduced in any way. There are no unauthorized, unsigned, unnumbered and/or unauthenticated prints. There are 2 additional Artist Proofs outside the regular editions. The artist reserves the right to reproduce prints outside the limited edition for promotional purposes, in books, magazines, exhibitions and press cards.
